After Volition was bought by THQ, they no longer had any use for the game engine, since they couldn't develop new FreeSpace games. I’m brand new to modded Minecraft and starting a space astronomy play through. It’s overwhelming, all the mods included. Are their any good guides or videos for getting started and getting into end game content?

I don't remember if Space Astronomy 2 is a questing modpack or one that changes progression. But one thing a lot of people here say about new people to modded Minecraft is to try to get one mod which made you interested and investing your time on learning it. After you did most things or learned it, go to the other one you liked. Doing this you end up learning different ways to obtaining stuff so later you can use stuff from all these mods to make it even easier to obtain, automate and even multiply these resources. Also, looking up recipes on JEI is very important, like try to look into all ways you can get item X, usually, theres tables with icons of machines on a superior table when you click to show a said recipe, if you look all those tables you will see different ways to obtain the same thing through different mods. Some of these ways may be easier or cheaper then others, maybe more efficient? Idk but try to always look there in order to see better ways to get the same resource through other mods.
