SPY higher expense ratio but offers weekly options, so it tends to be more for traders. Better for utilizing covered calls. VOO lower ER, only offers monthly options, so it tends to be for buy-and-hold. Both are fine for long term. Theres also IVV(same as SPY and VOO).
