What ereader/app set up will let me take speech notes the fastest?

Update: AlreaderX by Alan Neverland is the closet thing I've seen so far.

There's a "quick note/cite" that opens up a text box I can type in. I've remapped it to tapping on the screen with two fingers.

The only issue is the text box comes prefilled with an excerpt from wherever you're at in the book. You can delete it, but that's a pain. I've emailed Alan to ask him about a setting to take quick notes without any prefilled text.

In the meantime I think I can leave this text in there, start speaking/typing at the top of the note, and then run my exported notes through some post processing code to clean this up/get rid of the text I don't need.

Best App for Speech Dictation/Text to Speech?

I am a little unclear on exactly what you want. I am going to cover Text to Speech and also Speech to Text since that should cover both possibilities. Transcribing notes without a microphone timeout (as with Google Voice Typing)

Speechnotes is the best I found too for a phone. The voice typing within the Google docs service via a desktop browser allows much longer pauses than the Android version of Google voice typing and has a little better accuracy than scriptnotes. I had limited success with cable-connecting my headphone and mic ports to allow auto playback transcription of my recorded interviews, but ultimately I just put on headphones and parroted what the interviewee said in a clear voice.
