I'm in the market for a new washer and currently looking at the Speed Queen TC5003WN based on all the high praise it receives for its reliability. However, I've come across some reviews claiming the quality of Speed Queen has gone down in recent years, specifically, they don't clean well, leave water stains, and are not as durable and require more frequent repairs than in the past.
For those who have bought a Speed Queen TC5003WN within the last 2 or 3 years, how has your experience been so far? Is the Speed Queen TC5003WN still a solid choice?

My experience with (older) Speed Queen has been that they are the best machine for someone who just does not want their washer to break. I lived in a house that came with a Speed Queen W/D pair for several years and never had a single maintenance issue. That could have been luck, or it could have been the appliances. In spite of that, I didn't really like them. It was rough on clothes, but the quality of the wash was poor. I noticed that my new clothes looked new for longer after I moved out of there. I tried varying cycles and detergents, and just couldn't get a result I was happy with. As products, they are well built. As appliances, they didn't really serve my needs. I have heard good things about Electrolux, but don't have a ton of personal experience with them.

My mom has had the TC5 for about 2 years and wont shut up about how much better they are and how much cleaner her clothes are. I’ve noticed a difference when I’ve done laundry at her house as well. I’m sold on the washer but I don’t know that the dryer is worth the premium cost since I have less of an issue on the dryer side of things.
