100% worth. Buying spices whole and grinding yourself is just so much better than buying powders. As a home cook unless you have a massive family you just don't use spices quick enough and they end up dying on your shelf. Whole spices just last so much better (big bonus if you vac seal). Cleaning is very simple as well I just use a pastry brush to quickly brush it out. Takes like 30 seconds to grind into a fine powder vs upwards of 10 minutes by hand in a mort & pestal.

I have a regular blender (ninja) that I LOVE for smoothies, milkshakes, and other cooking related needs but I need a small one for “dry grinding” I.e., grinder small amount of coffee beans, or spices. As well as a small amount of nuts, ginger garlic paste etc.
I recently bought one on Amazon but the very first use it kept stopping and didn’t grind anything.
