I've used Spigen Tough Armor cases on my phones for years. Probably since the Pixel 2XL. They're thin and extremely protective. I'm not prone to dropping my phones but I've not damaged a phone since I've used the TA cases. More on reddit.com

The tough armor I have to tell you, it's not too thick, bulky or big. It's a slight increase of size in your palm, which is noticeable if you remove the case, but it's definitely worth it. It provides excellent protection as far as this types of cases are concerned. I also have the slim armor case. So far, I m switching between this one and the tough one because I can't seem to be able to decide which one to stick with. It's definitely slimmer and it's obvious when you're holding it but at the same time it doesn't provide so much protection if the phone drops on it's back or somewhat standing up. I have a tough armor it's bulky, you'll lose 40% feel of a pixel 4a - petit, handy feel. But since I don't have drop protection screen insurance in my region, I've gone this route to get a case which is third inline to poetic's two cases when it comes to protection in a similar price range and extending the physical durability of the device.Very understated look no flashy highlights on the back of the case and the popup stand even though fragile offers decent stability. Keep in mind to not harshly open it.

Apart from lesser protection, I didn't choose the rugged armor because of the highlight it makes with the carbon fiber look on the top quarter of the phone. It kinda overstates itself. I personally like everything black or gray and not flashy.
