Hi, i want to use Spigen Tough Armor with my Galaxy s25 base model , do you know if it is compatible with a one-piece lens protector like the one in the photo? (So not the classic individual rings, but a single glass cover.)
Ok, I might have gone a bit overboard ordering S25 Ultra Cases, but I wanted to make sure I had one I liked when the phone arrived. In order of the picture: Spigen Tough Armor (Ai), Jtech Magnetic Case, Poetic Neon MagPro Case, Ringke Onyx and Temdan Magnetic Case. I also ordered the Spigen Rugged Armor MagFit but it isn't arriving till next week.
So far I like the Spigen Tough Armor the best, with the Poetic second (though I feel like its too bulky).
The only issue I don't like about the Spigen and this might be because of the new camera design but I feel like a ton of dust is going to get into the back of the case since the camera bumps have a lip around them.
On other note I also ordered the Magic John S25 Ultra Tempered Glass Screen Protector and it went on super smooth, not a single bubble and the fingerprint reader seems to work fine even without turning on sensitivity mode.
Looks good, feels good, but I've seen that this literally starts peeling, what's other's opinions who use the ultra hybrid. Do call like it?
I saw that spigen do good cases but they also do a lot of them, so if thats the go to what specific spigen case is suggested
I've been using Tough Armor in my previous 2 phones with great success, protecting my phones from countless drops (I'm clumsy like that). Yes, the stand broke after a year or two, but the drop protection was top notch.
This time however the case is nothing like before. After applying the Spigen glass protector and lens covers, here's the results:
Front side:
Side lips of are ~0mm, same height with screen. 0 protection.
Top and bottom lips are less than 1mm from screen height. Dropping the phone would compress the margins and impact the screen, I'm sure of it.
Rear Side:
With lens covers on, the case back is flush with the lenses. No bueno.
Not sure what's going on here, but for a Tough Armor case this is a joke. Even the Torras case has double the clearance height at the top and bottom of the screen. 0mm at the sides though, such a shame.
I also bought the Spigen Slim Armor case, and funnily enough it actually seems to accomplish what the Tough Armor case is supposed to do, but doesn't.
It has high enough lips on all sides at the front and the lenses are 1mm recessed in the back, with lens covers on. The case itself also has more yellow soft rubber inside and is actually slightly bigger and heavier than Tough Armor. Spigen, what is going on! Only negative thing about it are the volume+power buttons are very hard to feel by hand. I always end up clicking the wrong button in the dark.
What was your experience with the Tough Armor case with the S24 Ultra? Did I get a faulty case or something?
I noticed on Amazon that the tough armor case for the s25 has the magfit magnet. I don't have any magfit products and no need for a magnet. Will this cause the phone to stick to random metal objects? Is there a way to remove the magnet portion. I could just buy the liquid air but I feel like the tough armor provides more protection. I've been using the spigen tough armor on my s22 for years and I absolutely love it other than the scratches on the case. Any thoughts would be appreciated
I have bought some cases for S25 ultra. One of these is Spigen. Looks good, but it got little bit bigger cutout for Spen then other brands. It looks like in case of fall, phone would touch the ground with the corner, where SPen sits.
The question is, did anyone have problem with not enough protection of this corner? It looks like minor fall would damage either corner or SPen itself.
(I dont usually drop phones, all that i had lasted for 4 to 5 years, mostly without protection case)
Recently got the new S25, upgrading from Exynos S24 and bought the same Tough Armor case. Unfortunately, its changes are a huge downgrade. It's noticeably flatter and sharper, making it less comfortable to hold in the hand and less grippy and stable as a result. The two-part case design also has a lower quality finish with noticeable misalignment and movement compared to the previous gen. Not to mention the lack of camera cutouts. It's maybe 0.5mm thinner but absolutely not worth the trade-off. Will be returning.
I just pre-ordered my S25 Ultra 512gb, but am torn on cases as I've always used Otterbox Defender Pro and Defenders, until recently I switched to Commuter Series with my S24 Ultra. I've seen the Mous may be as tough as Otterbox and a bit more slim which I really want, and it has a magnet in the case. I like the Commuter but no magnet, and Spigen I've heard is literally minimal protection. Can anyone give me some insight between the brands?
I work outside in construction and need something strong. The Defender is big and bulky, but I'm not sure about the protection level. Tough Armor has a good reputation for protection, but is it as strong due to the difference in bulk?
