I work outside in construction and need something strong. The Defender is big and bulky, but I'm not sure about the protection level. Tough Armor has a good reputation for protection, but is it as strong due to the difference in bulk?

I have now tried both the Spigen Tough Armor and the Otterbox Defender cases for the s23 Ultra. I tried the Spigen case first. I was afraid it was going to be slippery but it was much better than I expected. The case has a very clean look and is comfortable to hold.
But I worry about dropping the phone, which I do occasionally, so decided to try the Otterbox Defender. The Defender is about 5 mm longer and wider than the spigen case, and about 2 mm taller. So there's presumably more protection offered. However, on both cases the sides are barely above the screen. The top and bottom edges of the Defender are taller so if I put the phone screen down, the screen is further from the table than with the spigen. I suspect if I put a screen protector on the phone, that the sides might be even with the screen.
Overall, the spigen is lighter, has a smoother grip, goes in and out of my pocket easier, and has a more elegant feel. The Otterbox feels "tougher" and doesn't slip at all. If it weren't for my concern about drops, I would stick with the spigen. I'll use the Defender for a while and see how I feel in a week or so.

I bought the defender series xt for my fold 6 which I pre-ordered but obviously don't have right now.
I like the design of the OtterBox, kinda feels and looks lackluster though.
I saw a video of the tough armor pro p and was automatically interested because it could hold the pen which I have also purchased.
my question is what one would you choose out of the two? pictures included if not familiar.
The Spigen Tough Armor only provides .1" of front screen protection. All my instincts told me: this case is no good.
The Otterbox Defender provides significantly more front screen protection, but I would feel better if the left and right bezels were raised a little bit to protect the rounded screen's edges.
Personally, I'm waiting for the Lifeproof case that includes the integrated screen protector and hopefully raised left/right and top/bottom bezel for maximum screen protection.
My 2 cents.
Cheers.
I had the lifeproof case for my s8. The design was terrible. The built in screen protector didn't fit flush against the curve of screen, therefore making typing damn near impossible. Same with the cover over the finger sensor. Combined with the film they use to cover the sensor and the poor location, it made it very inaccurate.
i just bought tough armor on amazon and a screen protector (dont remember which one)
So I've been an Otterbox Defender fan for quite a few years now, but it looks like (at least from their images) they aren't using the inner shell and it's just the snap on kind of case like everyone else has and this kind of turns me off now.
Was looking at the Spigen Neo Hybrid but have never used any case but Otterbox. Would really like some input to get an idea if I should just stick with Otterbox or go Spigen this time around.
Also... what are your thoughts on the Whitestone Dome Glass Screen Protector?
Hello folks I bought a 14 pro max black but I would like to get a case between the title ones. I have tried spigen tough Armor at the past with 12pro and It was really good case… so worth to pay more money for OtterBox or Spigen is a better choice ? Thanks in advance.
