I have hardwood floors on the majority of my main level. I have the clean rinse O’Cedar mop and I have the O’Cedar spray mop. The O cedar spray mop is what I use on almost a daily basis. I fill the container with warm water and a little bit of Murphys oil soap and it takes care of just about anything I’ve gotten in my kitchen area no problem. For big mopping, I bought an aftermarket brush that connects to the end of the spin mop and I use that prior to the mop head. This time of year my dog tracks in mud there’s lots of salty areas and it really needs a good scrubbing - mopping alone isn’t gonna cut it. Once I’m done with the brush I pop it off pop the mop head on and mop as usual. I wring it out very well and make sure there is little standing water on the floors and I also use Murphy’s oil soap with the spin map. It’s a fantastic system. I love it. O-cedar is solid enough. It's built flimsy plastic, but yet it seems to know this about itself and not try to do more than it's built for. Handles hot water fine (plenty hot to burn bare skin, but I didn't test boiling). Handles aggressive spinning okay -- does not instill massive confidence, but it rattles cheaply the same way as it did originally when I first bought it. Everything about it is cheap and overpriced, and you're paying for the design more than the execution, but the execution is worth paying for the design for. The design is solid enough for what it is. The stuff that matters most was thought of. There's some details that they didn't need to do, but did because they make sense. That's always a good sign. If you can find a better built version, then go for it. Otherwise, I bet everything else will be even MORE rickity and cheap, only without the benefit of actually working well enough to survive years of use. More on reddit.com

Get a broom or swiffer dry mop to “sweep” the floor before mopping if you don’t have a vacuum. Both of these mops aren’t bad depending on your preferences. O’Cedar also has another spin mop that separates the dirty water from clean water, but I’m not the biggest fan. More on reddit.com

I use the regular oCedar mop daily and love it. (I clean homes and businesses for a living.) I’d love to hear someone chime in on the new one! I can’t imagine how the setup would work, myself. More on reddit.com
