I want to switch to the Scandinavian style of sleeping with a partner where you each have your own duvet.
I currently have a Brooklinen duvet that is California king size. Can I just cut this in half and sew it closed for the two pieces?
Any concerns with this?
Married Couples Should Use Separate Blankets

Want to sleep Scandinavian style. Can I cut my current duvet in half and sew?
LPT: if you share a bed with someone else, get separate comforters/blankets for each of you.
I don't get why more people don't do this. I would be divorced by now without it. My wife always steals shared blankets. And we have different temperature preferences. This allows us the keep the room cooler, as I prefer, while she is still warm and we don't have to worry about stealing each other's blankets. I have a lighter comforter, and it's perfect for me.
Just because you share a bed with another human does not mean you have to share a comforter. They can even be different weights. This works best if you also skip the top sheet and use duvets. Say good bye to night time cover-stealing fuckery
