I’m trying to find a game that me and my family could play tonight. I’m mainly looking for a shooter game, but if anybody has any other suggestions everything is appreciated.
Hi, I have 4 young boys coming over for Thanksgiving (Canada) and I figured they would like to play the PS5 rather than being around us adults. The youngest is 9 and I'm not certain the oldest, 13 maybe? Honestly, no idea.
I'm looking for free splitscreen games.
So far I got
Brawlhalla
Disney speedstorm
Fortnight (2 player split, but they can take turns as matches are fast enough)
Rocket league
Efootball (I suspect it's bad, but no idea)
Any musts that I've missed?
EDIT: Thank you all for your responses. In the end they decided they didn't want to play games, but rather to destroy my house. My sisters friend doesn't discipline her kids. Ever. luckily the only thing found broke so far is a slinky that was bent several times. I'm glad I was only looking for free games and didn't spend money on them.

Hey guys, just wondering what good games you'd recommend for shared screen or split screen games on the PS5? (To clarify, we're adult brothers (twins) Something with action/combat would be good)
The games don't tell you on the store and no way of searching for them.
Me and some friends have booked a weekend away to just relax and play PS5, so I'm looking for the best couch co-op games that we can buy to play (google isn't being much help, half the games suggested are online only!) We already have Nidhogg, Diablo 3 and Heavenly Bodies, does any one have any other suggestions please?
EDIT: What an amazing response, thank you for all the suggestions! I was hoping to get one or two replies :D
Hi. I'm looking for couch co-op games for (up to) 4 players. Prefer isometric over plain 2D side-scrolling or split-screen.
In the past we've enjoyed Ember Knights (and its DLC), The Ascent, Sea of Stars, Helldivers 1, and Alienation. (Kind of meh on Borderlands franchise, Overcooked clones, and games that are only puzzles at this point.) Games with some story and some combat seem to work best.
Would love ideas for something new-ish (released in last 12 months) that we haven't tried. Thank you!
TL;DR I'm looking for a list (preferably a comprehensive list) of PS5 games that can be played by at least 4 players simultaneously via local multiplayer.
Hi all. I'm new to console gaming. My friends and I often congregate at one home and play his PS5. We enjoy playing simultaneously, in the same room. Some of the games we've tried (and enjoyed) are below. We're looking to find more, and if possible, even to find a complete list of games that meet these requirements. Does anyone know how to find a complete list? If not, does anyone know where I can go to find such a list? If not, feel free to offer your own suggestions :-)
Games We've Tried and Enjoy
• Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge • EA SPORTS FC 25
Of Note
I found the site https://www.co-optimus.com/. It is helpful, but focuses on just co-op games, which is only a subset of what I want.
A search in the Playstation Store indicates 466 different games that meet the 'local multiplayer' criteria. But you cannot filter that list by number of players, and supporting at least four players at once is a criteria here.
ChatGPT was able to give me this short list, but was clear that this was not a comprehensive list. I haven't vetted it yet though:
• Overcooked! All You Can Eat
• Sackboy: A Big Adventure
• Call of Duty: Black Ops 3
• Chicory: A Colorful Tale
• Borderlands 3
If this post belongs somewhere else (e.g. a different sub, a weekly dedicated thread), let me know and I'll be happy to post it there instead :-)
Thanks in advance.
As the title says; Are there any couch or splitscreen games where you can play with 4 players in the same TV?
hey guys, I don’t even know if this will make it onto the wall, but I just got my PS5 back after two years and realized that I only really have single player games installed. I was just wondering if anyone happened to know of any free/cheap fun split screen games that I can play because I have a couple friends coming over tonight and don’t want to drop a whole lotta money on a game that we might only play once.
This gen really kicked Splitscreen out of multiplayer game standards compared to previous gen where you could easily find good 4 player split screens.
I don't blame them I mean who even plays splitscreen anymore on a daily basis? I'm mostly alone but two player SS is more often than 4 player.
I'm glad that COD still has up to 4 split screens ( just two cod games that support 4SS this gen bo3 and bo4 only in zombies ) but in a blue moon all of my family comes to my house which means my cousins too‚ theyre the same age or 2-4 years below. Now the most comtrollers I had was 3 but I'm sure I'll have 4 this gen cause ds4 works with ps5 as well.
I hope the PS5 makes split screen's performance more stable than the current gen and allows developers to design 4 player splitscreens wo any performance issues. The upcoming machines are power asf 1/4 of thr splitplayerscreen can perform better than the ps4 as a whole. I just hopr Treyach keeps the 4 player splitscreen unlike IW and SH but considering how bad BO4 4player SS was I think theyre going to abandon it
anyway this was my only hope besides having every cod game in one folder (bc) but thats unlikely
As games become more graphically demanding it also become harder to effectively do split screen sadly.
I would expect split screen to still be there for easier to run title.
But for anything with high graphic fidelity, I feel split screen will continue to vanish to the point of non existence
We need more couch co-op games. Everything is single player or online now.
They're a few titles sprinkled here and there but not much worth playing.
The last amazing local co of game that was awesome for me was Blur on PS3. "A WAY OUT" on PS4 was also pretty fun for me and my wife.
What are some good 4 player split screen games on extra?
