Spotify web player help - Spotify
Try opening the web player in a private/incognito window. Some shared or public networks (ex. schools/work/office) restrict access to certain services. You can contact those responsible for managing the network for more information. If it's still not working, try listening on the desktop app instead.

Solved: Web Player won't work on Chrome - The Spotify Community
July 30, 2021 - The ChromeOS player has worked in the past couple weeks (can't remember exacly when I last used it). EDIT: A better repro is to go to https://www.spotify.com/us/ and click "Open Web Player". Same error message as above. ... This also is an issue for me. Attempting to use the webplayer on a chromebook, and I get a black screen and the same error in chrome's network console. This chromebook does not have access to android apps, so the web player is the only way to access spotify, which now does not work.

October 20, 2024 - In case anyone also has the problem with web browser not loading on open.spotify.com after login, I found the solution: It has nothing to do with my Windows N Version (but if you do, make sure to install media pack). The problem was that I blocked the following URL: spclient.wg.spotify.com Apparently spotify web browser now relies on it, so if you block in your hosts file, pihole, firewall or whatever this is the reason your spotify web player is not loading.

How to Fix Spotify Web Player Not Working
May 31, 2024 - Close and reopen Chrome, and you’ll find that the Spotify web player now works. An option worth trying when you can’t use the Spotify web player is to use an incognito window. When you open a site in this window, your browser isolates your browsing history and other data from your current session. That helps fix issues occurring due to the interference of your browser data with Spotify’s web player. You might not want to use incognito mode every time you want to listen to music, but this technique can at least help you figure out whether your browser is what’s causing the problem.

Solved: Spotify Web Player not working anymore since a cou... - The Spotify Community
March 8, 2019 - They're not causing problems. I don't have other desktop computer to test here atm. My account is perfectly working at my parent's house using Spotify Web Player from there on Windows 7. What is working here: Spotify Android app on Samsung S6, S7 Edge, Tab S4, Spotify desktop app from Macbook Pro 2014. Even Deezer web player is perfectly working.. The attempts I've made until now: Use all OSX browsers (Opera, Firefox, Safari, Chrome), uninstalled and reinstalled them, create a new computer user with brand-new settings, switch between 3 different network here even via router from mobile, uninstalled ad blocker, grant full web access to Spotify sites.
