I use Spotify web player and I keep having this issue where it just skips songs after a second or two. After it skips a few songs the final song will play until around 9 seconds and then freeze completely.

This has been happening since yesterday and Spotify is completely unusable on web player and only web player. (it's working fine on my phone and xbox)

If anyone knows how to fix this please help me out because I'm sick of using youtube music and getting ads before every song.

This is one of the more bizarre problems I've had. Whenever I double click on a song or press a play button Spotify will skip exactly 6 songs and then play 9 or 10 seconds of the 6th before it won't play any more. What the hell is going on and how can I fix it?

I can still get all songs to "play" (10 seconds) by using the skip and back buttons. I've never had a problem with spotify before.

UPDATE: firefox updated and the issue is gone, still no clue what caused it, probably completely out of my control

Spotify randomly skips songs, sometimes even in the middle of them or just stops playing completely. This happend both on iOS and Windows.

Anybody else experiencing this issue?

Any tips? Cleared cache and reinstalled on both platforms already!

I've tried downloading Spotify with the antisplit way and APKPure. Also have tried with auto updates and without autoupdates for both ways and the problem is still happening. When I try searching a song without any playlist, the app plays like a millisecond of it and then the song goes away

I try playing a song on Spotify web player, and it skips songs every 2 seconds and then it stops. I try playing music again, the same thing happens. This has been happening to me for the past few days. Using the desktop app is a no-go for me since I signed up with google login for my premium account and the desktop app doesn't support that yet. Does anybody know how to fix this?

I have this problem that Spotify is constantly skipping songs as if they were unplayable. I tried so hard and got so far. But in the end, none of the songs even play.

They are playable. But they constantly just skip. I use spotify web. The ads play regularly.

I tried switching browsers, logging in and out... refreshing, restarting my PC. None of them worked. Anyone can help?

Spotify would pause on its own for whatever reason in the past, seemingly only when I added songs to the queue, after which it would resume when I paused and then played the song again, and this itself was pretty rare.
But now it has gotten increasingly more common for seemingly no reason, and it happens even if I don't add songs to my queue, and it also just skips songs in my queue.

For the record I mostly always play the songs on my amazon echo, which is linked to my spotify account. I have also disconnected my spotify account from my discord account, but that hasn't fixed the problem.
Please help, this is driving me nuts.

I know people have brought up issues with the Spotify Web Player in the past, but I haven't come across discussions about this particular issue.

I do not have the privileges necessary to install the Spotify desktop application on my work PC, so I often resort to using the Web Player (open.spotify.com) to listen to music. For the past month or more, whenever I attempt to play an album or playlist using in Firefox, the player will start advancing down the list of songs, almost like I am clicking the Next button repeatedly.

The Web Player behaves normally in Chrome. I have created a new Firefox profile, but the problem persists. I have tried playing tracks in Firefox's troubleshoot mode, but the problem persists. I have turned off my ad-blocker, but the problem persists.

Most other streaming services I have tried in Firefox--the web version of Apple Music, Netflix, YouTube, HBO Max, etc.--all work fine. The only other service that does not work properly is Amazon Prime Video; whenever I try to stream a movie or episode in Firefox, I get a "Video Unavailable" message in the window. I'm not sure whether this problem is related to the Spotify issue.

So what you have to do is to download an app called Spotifuck from mobilism forum, and then use that with the revanced version of Spotify which is currently skipping songs.

It works like a charm but make sure when you are in your Spotify app, then the playing device should be web player as it automatically gets chosen when you start the service in spotifuck.

People prolly hated me for not providing the direct link in the previous sub but I only did that so we don't have to see this not working after waking up tomorrow. But anyways the link is in this thing.

Heyo so maybe this sub gets this question a lot but all of a sudden my spotify skips songs automatically without playing more than a second. I'm really not sure how to fix this but I'm hoping I can get some help. Anything helps thanks. (By the way, I'm currently on a chromebook)

Does work for you guys, my just keeps skipping songs. Going incognito and disabling all adons and mods all don't work.

Within the first 10 seconds of any song I've played on Spotify PC it skips several times then plays. I've tried lowering audio quality, logging in and out, and reinstalling but nothing seems to be working.

at this point I'm not sure what to do.

So when i click play on a Title, It just skips through all the songs after 0:01 seconds in the song, making it not possible to hear any song. It just rushes through all my music and i dont know why. please help me :(
