Not sure if this is the right place to be posting this, but I'm doing it anyway.
So I've been trying to listen to music on spotify when I play. It would always work just fine until one day when I powered off my Playstation fully. I tried to log back in spotify in which I used ALL the correct credentials, but the screen would then go blank, and back to the login page, making me have to do it all over again. Ive tried so many things, resetting my password, scanning the QR code or even the regular pairing code, nothing. If anyone has dealt with this in which they've kept their account, I qould really apreciate it if you could tell me how you did it.
So I have downloaded Spotify and the premium trial on my ps4 and it worked great, easily as good as music unlimited from what little I have seen. However my girlfriend also plays the ps4, and with music unlimited one account worked for me and my missus on our shared ps4.
We just checked to see if Spotify worked in the same way and it appears not to. When we try to use it, I log in as me and it says that the playstation is already linked and cannot be linked again - it's the same bloody playstation! My account is the master account, so I assumed this would work.
Am I doing something wrong? I can't help but think I must be, but if Spotify think I'll be paying ten pounds for each user on the playstation they can think again. I only used music unlimited on my ps4 and would only use Spotify on it as well. I am not paying double what I did before for the same product.
Help me, reddit, you are my only hope. I must be doing something dumb.
The option to click connect to ps4 just isn't there anymore. I used it once and the next time I went in it wasn't there. Any recommendations
when following the directions given by the spotify app. i’m told to open spotify on my phone and connect using the devices interface. when i do that nothing shows up for the ps4 or controller as a device.
i cannot sign into spotify due to forgotten password and can not recover due to email issues because of covid-19 (tldr: signing in any other way is not an option) although i’m still signed in on my phone.
here’s some info to deter useless answers to things i’ve already tried:
i do not have an external hard drive both devices are connected to the same wifi all apps and devices are up to date bluetooth is enabled on both devices no media/ apps are running in the background i do not use a vpn or any other wifi masking software i have restarted the app on both devices, aswell as restarting the device completely. i have cleared my spotify cache
any solutions would be appreciated.
