Google SketchUp has a bunch of designs to scale in their 3D Warehouse. Some even have all the pieces of wood and the cuts laid out visually so that you can just buy the wood, cut, and assemble. And I also didn't have the means to cut wood. So I went with a pre made IKEA table top and attached it to a fully Jarvis sit/stand desk base. I added a large sized acrylic keyboard drawer as well.
