So this may be stupid, but I've never had to ship a package before. I have something now that I need to mail. I don't have a box for it. If I go to Staples with the item, will they help me pack it? Also, it says the last pick-up at Staples is 4pm. Does that mean that I can't drop it off to be shipped later than 4?

At my store I make customers who don’t have boxes/mailers buy one because I don’t keep old boxes to hand out (it just takes up space) and you can package it up wherever you like (a lot go to our self serve counter) and then you’d bring it to the ups counter to ship, they ask you all the necessary info and print the label then check you out for shipping. If the store is nice they can charge you for the box and shipping all at once, but check with them that they’re okay with that and let them know ahead of time you’re doing it. Otherwise we do offer packaging services, we completely package your item for you, but it doesn’t include the price of the box. It’s generally $7, and then a few bucks for the box, then whatever you pay for shipping. So it’s really up to you. At my store I always tell people get your item in by 2 if you want it to go out same day, even if UPS picks up around 3-4 for us. Expect to sign and date a shipment receipt that we keep. Also depending on the size, even if it’s small, for ground expect prices to start at around $12. Size and distance play a huge factor in shipping. Ground is the only delivery option that delivery date isn’t guaranteed, the rest is express, with guaranteed delivery dates, but prices jump. We have a coupon right now in our app for rewards members that’s 20% off express, which when you’re paying express rates, it really helps.

Staples connect. (They opened a few of these actual locations) But for most it: Started out with business directory. Aka a free search engine for local businesses. However it acts more like a community board. Staple provides targeting advertising and helpful resources to those. What it’s starting to turn into is those pilot stores. It’s a modernized office supply that has a focus of service. Aka podcasting centers, TSA pre check. Printing. Office space. And probably more. They are processing out the “TJ Max” old stuff aka dated items in a attempt to bring in new innovative items to get a younger crowd of business. They will be updating current services. Aka they will phase out the BW printers and add air print.😒 which we all know won’t happen. Long story short. It’s a bunch of empty promises I won’t believe until it happens. I may be wrong on some of this stuff but if been following this since I saw the idea about 2 years ago

Please enjoy these 89 and 90lb boxes with one shipping label among them that the shipper screeched at us for warning her UPS may not take them that way. Shipping label is also for…7 whole lbs.
We ended up getting her to print another and wrote 1 of 2 and 2 of 2 on the boxes. Also took her phone number in case UPS rejects it.

Yeah, they're not going to ship two boxes with the same label. You definitely shouldn't have accepted both boxes when you are only able to scan the label once.

The problem with 1 label for two boxes is if UPS will be able to track one of the boxes via tracking number. The other box cannot have the same tracking number. So there is a good chance it gets lost or forgotten somewhere. Once they scan the first box, the other will become insignificant
