My company started ordering from Staples online through a Business or Advantage account. It's a bit pricier than other retailers, even with the promotion of 10-20% off until July, the CFO mentioned.
Are there any benefits of ordering from Staples online instead of Amazon?
And does Staples price match online retailers, or only in store?
Trying to figure out if there are any advantages for this. Thanks in advance.

Other than a great slogan (Staples is Human), there are some other benefits you can’t get from Amazon. You can use your contract account in store and receive the better of your contract price or retail price. You can have real human interactions with real people. If you shop in store you can price match other retailers including Amazon (if shipped and sold by Amazon). I’m sure there are plenty of other great reasons, but I say, go to the stores whenever you can. Unless you are in Canada.

I was an acct manager with SBA for 15 years. It is not worth it. Acct managers used to be able to customize pricing, loaded to your logon, and that was your new price, or was it? Pricing acct managers do is often wiped out when prices are loaded, updated, and many accts are locked so that they do not qualify for discounts. We were told that price did not matter, and to sell customers on the human element, business is human, you have one dedicated live person as opposed to automated cst service, and then eliminated 550 acct manager positions. Staples is over priced inventories are often constrained. Next day delivery is the only thing that gives Staples an edge. If you need it next day and don't mind paying more for the product for that service. Go with Staples. Otherwise Amazon
