I've been using Statcounter for a few years now. It works perfectly. The best feature is that it's live data, so it's faster and more accurate than GA4 or GSC. I have a paid version for up to 100,000 entries. That's fine and enough for what I need it for. The reason I first started using it was to check for invalid clicks on Adsense ads. That's a great tool to have. But now it's my go-to app for my daily site traffic data. The other plus is that support is terrific. I've only used it a few times, but support has been helpful and prompt. One last tip. When you set it up, it advises you to add the code in the header. But I found this can cause minor CLS issues. So I placed it in the footer insted, and it works perfectly. More on reddit.com

I don't think switching from GA to Statcounter will affect your SEO. Search engines like Google don't rely on GA data for ranking. Your site's SEO is determined by crawlers, not analytics tools. Focus on creating great content and optimizing your site for users, and you'll be fine! More on reddit.com

May 14, 2022 - I agree with StatCounter not being trustworthy. For example, I was looking at the OS Share via their website. It is extremely inaccurate. It doesn't even have anything over macOS Catalina (A 2019 OS Release!) listed for the macOS version shares.
