I was really hoping to get the 5.5 qt but sadly missed the VI deal for the basil color. Right now the 7 qt in the same color is on sale, but I’m wondering if it might be too heavy for my liking. I currently own a 4 qt as my go-to for everyday cooking. What do you guys think?
Hello,
I currently already own a 24 cm (4 qt【3,79 L】 - 3.8l) Staub cocotte and I absolutely love it.
We're a family of 2 and almost always cook for 2 days (lots of one pot dishes) and freeze the leftovers which is usually enough for another day.
For some dishes or when we have friends over our current dutch oven isn't big enough and we're always working with another stainless steel pot. I'm currently wondering whether we should buy a 26 cm (5.5 qt【5,2 L】 - 5l) or should just get a 28 cm (7qt【6,62 L】 - 6.7l) Staub. For people that have multiple DO's, which sizes do you have? Is a 26 cm a significant upgrade over the 24 cm or should we just skip the 26 and get a 28 and be set for life?
Only reason I'm doubting the 28 cm is that I don't want a pot that we'll barely use because it's too big.
Thanks in advance
