It’s gorgeous. (I didn’t notice any imperfections!) $209 direct from Zwilling.
I think I’m going for a roast chicken or pot roast to break it in. Let me know of your favorite recipes or tips!
Hi all,
I have been eyeing the 4 quart Dutch oven in Basil that’s on sale a few places now.
I have a 5.5 Le Creuset Dutch Oven that has been a workhorse for six years. I try to be gentle with it, but honestly I am a space cadet in the kitchen and have had a couple things burn in the enamel at the bottom. She’s holding up, but that “almost-nonstick” is starting to fade because of this. I bought a bigger Kitchenaid DO to extend LC’s lifespan, but after just a few months, there are serious chips. I’ve learned my lesson about quality! I got a Staun fry pan a few months ago and absolutely love it. The black interior holds up so much more nicely than LC.
We’re a family of 3 (maybe 4 soon?) and I’m wondering if the 4 quart size is just too small for our household. For those of you who have a smaller DO like this, what do you cook in it? My husband is vegetarian, so I’m not concerned about fitting a whole chicken.
Why us this size so hard to find? I would loved the Basil green.
