In the past, have there been deeply discounted holidays sales? Really wanting to pull the trigger on a 7qt, which is currently on sale a couple places for $299. Amazon had a grenadine 7qt for $220, but now the price is up to $275. So mad I didn’t get it then!
Should I go for the $275 or do you think it will get cheaper for Black Friday, etc?
Not desperate but want to add my first staub. Have had LC and not happy with the way they have worn so looking for a change. I see where WS has one I'd like (burnt orange) on sale for $300. Is that about as good as you can get or should I start stalking Homegoods/TJX for these? Have never seen them at our local store before, but haven't really looked either. What say ye experts? Where can I get the best deal??

We want a BIFL Dutch oven. Will the Staub Cocotte 7qt oval ($449) really give me any better performance than the Lodge 7qt oval ($100)? I’m leaning towards the Staub because I prefer the black interior, people trust the brand, and the sapphire color is gorgeous. But the price tag is astronomical compared to the Lodge of the same size. Anyone have the Lodge and been perfectly happy? Is the responsible thing to be frugal and purchase the Lodge because it performs just as well or to “buy once, cry once” and get the Staub?
Does anyone know why Staub is so much cheaper on Amazon than anywhere else?
Staub Cast Iron Round Cocotte, 4-Quart, Cherry - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003G65YQ0/ref=cm_sw_r_u_apa_fabc_HkqeGbSKVK1QG?psc=1
Am I missing something? Is it possible it's a knock off? The closest I can find anywhere else is $300.
Thanks!
Just an FYI the Staub 5qt Dutch Oven is on a huge discount on the King Arthur site. Usually $359.95 is now $149.95. I’ve never seen them discounted that much.
First Reddit post ever!
I am pretty certain I decided on the Staub 5.5qt for my first piece of enameled cast iron cookware and just started shopping.
I noticed that the 7qt is on sale most places at a pretty heavy discount (but I think that will be overkill). Which made me think that the 5.5 goes on sale too?
Is there a “best place” to buy a 5.5? Or just wait for the sale cycle to hit the 5.5? Or, are there any “coupons” available?
Thanks all!
I'm considering getting a Staub braiser and I see several online retailers (Williams Sonoma, Bed Bath Beyond, Zwilling, etc..) all currently have the braisers with the glass lid on sale for btwn $179 - $199, depending on the color. I don't know enough about this brand yet to know if this is a great deal or just one of those marketing tactics to make it look like it's on sale, when it's really the standard price.
Also, are there any particular pros/cons to the ones with the glass lid vs the standard lid?
Where is the Staub factory to table sale?! I know they don’t really market like Le Creuset but for us Staub folks i wish they did something fun too. And Staub runs under the radar of the clout chasers. 😭 i just want a mystery box of Staub.
Took some pics of the Zwilling warehouse sale to share! Only bought the 3.5qt glass lidded braiser in La Mer as a gift for my sister.
I’m in the market for a 7qt Dutch oven and a braiser but don’t quite have the funds for them full price, do these ever have a “big sale” or a good time to buy them? Maybe even somewhere else that isn’t directly through their website? TIA
I’m really tempted with the Sur La Table Black Friday deals for the 4q cocotte with glass lid and 11” skillet but realistically I shouldn’t be spending that kinda money right now. Do these pieces normally go on sale throughout the year??
I was hoping to get words of wisdom.
I'm moving into my own place and do lots of cooking - I own a Staub perfect pan (grenadine) but itching for a 5.5 qt round cocette.
It seems there are sales all over the internet for 4qt, 5.5 qt french, or 7 qt but of course no 5.5qt round. Do these ever go on sale?
I'm not married to one color but would only be interested in about half the colors - don't want pinks/whites/blacks/grey.
Would you hold out for a sale online, wait for black friday, religiouly search fb marketplace, or just pay the $420? It hurts when the 5.5qt french is $200.... I will have an electric burner though and feel the normal round is best for heat transfer
Has anyone been to a outlet store? I'm in san francisco and there is one about 40 minutes away
Checked out the staub warehouse sale today, this was located in the GTA, ended up doing some damage lol! I found majority of prices to be a good deal, cheaper than the website “discounted” prices . The colour choices were more limited than I expected but there were still some interesting ones like eucalyptus, citron and cherry blossom.
Got the 5.5 as my first Dutch oven! Cant wait to use it
For those of you waiting for Staub pieces to go on sale - almost 60% off
It’s going on now..
Check it out!

I couldn’t decide between Grenadine / Basil / Dark Blue cocottes 🥲
What are your top / fave Staub colors?
FYI … It’s on sale for early Black Friday at sur la table ($129.96) too. Majolica finishes are $20 more. I know wm Sonoma has them, but I have a gift certificate at SLT, so I was pleased to see it there as well. It’s not marked as VI. I gave several of these as gifts and kept one for myself when it was the $99 loss leader maybe four or five years ago and I can say without hesitation, it’s a very handy pot. It basically lives on my stovetop.
I JUST learned that Zwilling/ Staub even does warehouse sales. Plus, I just saw that one is near me this weekend. I would LOVE to attend, but am struggling to figure it out. Do we need tickets? If so, it looks like it's sold out? Is there anywhere to buy resale tickets? Are these worth it?
Any advice is appreciated!
Thank you!
Is this a reputable vendor?
What is the cheapest anyone has gotten on a brand new Staub 5.5 QT? Do they ever go on sale and if so is there a certain time of year that they are on sale?
