r/Steam on Reddit: Steam Refund Approved After 14 days?
August 6, 2024 -
I bought a game and played it for less than 2 hours, but I owned it for at least 19 days and the refund was still approved, which I'm very thankful of valve for, but am wondering if this is normal? I feel like a long time ago when I owned a game for a short time after 14 days it was denied quickly.

It is normal. As long as the refund request is reasonable, and you're not refunding too much too often, Steam is pretty lenient on refunding games for almost any period of time.

I just got rejected because I owned a game over 14 days but had 28 minutes of play (more like 10 of actual game play). Mother fuckers I am busy sometimes, it's not my job to test the shit day of. I was looking forward to the game but the actual game play is intolerable for me.
Successful Refunds Over 14 Days?
I got a refund awhile back, right around the start of the sale, for a game I bought back in late March/early April. All I did was explain why I was asking for the refund, and within about 3 days I had the money in my account. It helps if you go in-depth a bit for your reasoning for asking for the refund, so they don't immediately think that you just bought stuff to try it then take it back. More on reddit.com

Has anyone had any luck returning a game after 2 weeks, but you dont have 2 hours playtime on?
That's the auto refund so it will reject but you can try going to your account detail > view purchase history>click on game and select the option to submit manual tickets. Ultimately it is still up to the support whether to refund or reject. If you're going from library you can find your game > select support> click view receipt to get to the page with . Answer (1 of 6): You won’t get it. I once tried to refund a game I’d played less than two hours but the time was two weeks and one day. It was rejected almost instantly. If you have some weird special circumstances you might get one but they are more likely to reject it without reading you ticket...
