July 12, 2017Before being outed as King, what were the reviews for the works credited to Richard Bachman like? Did the receive critical acclaim? Links to actual reviews would be great, thank you!
Rage was reviewed in Publishers Weekly as the work of a fledgling writer. The unfavorable notice begins by saying that a lesson in Latin grammar would be more involving than what happens in Rage.
When Thinner first came out, one famous review said that this book was what Stephen King would be like if Stephen King could write.
The other books generally eluded critical notice at the time.
