November 21, 2025 - By the end of the day Thursday, it was like nothing had changed: Markets resumed their slide that has sent the S&P 500 down more than 5% from the all-time high it reached just before Halloween.

U.S. Stock market today: The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 282 points, or 0.58%, to 48,428. The S&P 500 slid 0.47% to 6,897. The Nasdaq Composite led losses, falling 0.65% to 23,439.
