What do you think the S&P500 will return over the next 10 years?
Given the current valuations probably less than 4% real and 5-6% nominal. I find unlikely to see the S&P still at x30 earnings in 10 years, so 8% EPS growth with 1.5% dividend minus 2-4% from multiple contraction, i would say 6% nominal to be reasonable. But nobody knows, the multiples can always expand further as seen in the dot com era. More on reddit.com

S&P 500 Predictions: 2026 through 2050 S&P 500 Forecast
1 month ago - He believes that a $7 trillion yearly investment in green energies will lead to a climate tech boom, which can drive the S&P 500 to 10,000-12,000. Other market gurus like Ray Dalio and Lacy Hunt mention the possibility of the US debt crisis. In such a scenario, the US’s credit card would basically max out, and banks would start charging crazy rates, which would cut the stock market deep.

Predicting Market Performance: 4 Proven Investment Strategies
November 5, 2025 - They found that stocks that have performed well during the past few months are more likely to continue their outperformance next month. The inverse also applies: Stocks that have performed poorly are more likely to continue their poor performances. However, this study only looked ahead three to 12 months.
