I teach five sections of ELA. I create one post in one class and copy it to the four others. Great. But if I want to edit the post, I have to edit it in EVERY SINGLE CLASS. Why can’t there be an “edit all” feature? And - why can’t I “schedule” posts to more than one section at a time? This in addition to student view are my biggest pet peeves. More on reddit.com

It's SO valuable! Basically, it's a manager that works with drive/docs/sheets/etc. You can make documents in your drive and share them with the kids in classroom in such a way that it automatically makes a copy and appends the kid's name. No more no-name papers, no more trying to figure out what ridiculous title they gave their document. More on reddit.com

Just make sure your school and district don't have rules about student accounts. Also, double check the age requirement for the Google account. If anything is ever handled incorrectly, it could be an issue. More on reddit.com

I find sometimes the problem is being logged in to multiple google accounts at once. I would recommend she logs out of all google accounts and then only sign in to her school google account and try again.

How did no one at Google not think to do this, while making the student-facing and teacher-facing interface so different? Luckily I've been using it for a while in my brick-and-mortar class, I can't imagine what it must be like to walk a student through navigating the classroom not having seen the kids on the Chromebooks before. Clearly no one in the education department at Google was ever a teacher.
Edit: while we’re ranting, if student can send private messages, why the fuck isn’t there like a standard inbox. I get a message that I got a private comment and I have to go to the students actual submission instead of a standard inbox. If you turn off email and phone notifications (which we need to do for our sanity) then you will never know if a student sends a private message or makes a comment on an assignment before you go to grade it.
