I am trying to figure out if there is a better shortcut for writing subscripts/superscripts into Excel on my Mac. As of right now the best shortcut option I have is ctrl + 1 and then selecting subscript or superscript. Surely there has to be a better way? Thanks
I have Excel for Mac version 16.79.2
ETA: I checked for questions similar to mine already in the subreddit, but they are all from years ago, and I am not sure if this is a newer issue. Also, I have already googled this issue, and all the answers seem to point to the ctrl + 1 solution. I just feel like there has to be a better way I am missing.

I don't know if your'e still looking for a solution to this, but i actually just recently found one and stumbled on this to try and find it. The solution I found is up in your Excel sheet, for mac there is the three dots (...) and you can click it and select "More Commands". In there you can add subscript and superscript to your top bar so you don't have to hit command + 1 and then select it.

Just figured this out for anyone still interested in a quicker method! Go to Tools --> Customize Keyboard Under "Categories" select "Commands Not in the Ribbon" Then in the "Commands" search box type superscript (Or subscript) Once highlighted, ensure there aren't any current commands Click the "Press new keyboard shortcut" box and click whatever shortcut you like as long as it doesn't get in the way of others! For me I did Command + = for superscript and Command + - for subscript Works great. So happy. So efficient.
