Sukhoi T-4 - Wikipedia
February 3, 2025 - The Sukhoi T-4, or "Aircraft 100", or "Project 100", or "Sotka" is a Soviet high-speed reconnaissance, anti-ship and strategic bomber aircraft that did not proceed beyond the prototype stage. It is sometimes called the Su-100. In 1963, the Soviet government held a request for proposal among ...
You've heard of the Russian Concordski. So presenting the 'Vakyrieski'—the Sukhoi T4; which went about as well as it looked
So far as I recall it was more of an answer to the perceived threat of the American Valkyrie project (though not exactly a like for like response). Though a Soviet SST was sketches out on its basis. Until Tupolev took the contract. Interestingly the Tupolev Tu 144 was primarily designed as a civilian project, which is generally the reverse of how Tupolev typically operated. Though Tupolev tried to propose military variations of it for similar missions to the T-4s the entire plan was quickly mooted as missile technology simply made them economically unfeasible. October 29, 2007 - Hi Ucon and Flateric! I want to ask you a question again. Why T-4 did not challenge Mach 3 flight? It is very strange for me. T-4's structure was titanium alloy. Is there any serious technical problem? ... Three-view drawing (top) of Sukhoi T-4M. Artist's drawing (middle) of Sukhoi T-4M.

July 16, 2020 - Well, the Amodel kit was not really a walk over, but it resulted in a – I think – very attractive looking model. There is a build thread here. As if she was parked at an arctic airfield… And a few close-ups… Here you can see the movable nosecone in a short video clip. The engine fans are only visible when using a special illumination, here engines No. 2 and 4.

Sukhoi T-4 (Part 1) | The Lexicans
August 19, 2013 - The Sukhoi T-4 is arguably called the “world’s first fly-by-wire” aircraft. It is however the first aircraft in Russia, to be built using titanium (like Lockheed’s SR-71 Blackbird). Design configuration for the T-4 was finalized in December 1964 after extensive research done at TsAGI (the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute, the Soviet counterpart to NASA) over the…
