Do men have to wear a suit to a summer wedding?
Do men have to wear a tie to a summer wedding?
What fabrics are suitable for men’s summer wedding attire?
What are you wearing to a wedding this summer? I've got a wedding in mid-July that I'll be attending (as a guest, not in the wedding party), and am trying to figure out what to wear. Any advice/guidance/recommendations on styles or places to look?
There are two main events that I need help with - the reception and the ceremony itself. The dress code is described as "cocktail attire" and "summer formal" respectively. For more context, this wedding will be in upstate New York in the Adirondacks/Tupper Lake area with a relatively affluent crowd.
I've been wanting to update my closet anyway, so let's say I need a full set for both nights, but shoes not included. I'm not on a shoe-string budget, but I'm also not looking to blow out my budget. Let's say around $500 total, no more than $1000, but I'm not married (badum tss) to that number if it needs to move around.
Just found this sub 20 minutes ago and it gives me a lot of joy seeing everyone.
I really need some advice on a wedding my girlfriend and I are attending in a few months. While wearing better fitting clothes is important, my biggest concern is the wedding taking place in Alabama…in JUNE! It’s going to be hot, sticky, humid, just all around not the best environment for a big man.
I’m 6’2”, 375-ish (we all know what -ish means) and I’m seeking advice on the whole outfit. From pants to jacket to dress shirt to materials, etc; pants/jacket do not have to match like a typical suit would. My goal is something comfortable but also looks good.
I have not purchased a suit since pre-pandemic, so I have no idea what my measurements are. Current pants size are roughly 48-50, maybe a 46 if the brand runs a bit big, and 32 length.
Anything you ask can provide would be most appreciated!
