I’ve been thinking of trying them out. Price seems reasonable, but don’t want to fall for a gimmick product and ruin my lawn.

r/lawncare, I'm just purchased my first home and now have a lawn. I've looked over a few of the posts in this thread and wanted to get some basic feedback on the simple lawn care schedule I put together
Grass: Dwarf Fiscue
Location: SF Bay Area
Watering Frequency: 1" Per Week (1 Time - 20 Minutes)
February - Pre Emergent
March - Fertilize
June - Post Emergent
September - Fertilize
October - Lawn Aeration/Seed Grass
Does this make sense? Since the lawn has a decent number of weeds now, does it make sense to treat with post emergent/weed killer before the fall?
Thanks,
DonoBear
So after the past 7 years of having landscapers, I am going start to go back to taking it over myself. Not only did landscapers become expensive, I actually do enjoy spending the time now that my kids a little older
I live on Long Island NY so have cool weather grass and only have about 2500 sq ft of grass to deal with.
Do we have a simple guide to get me started with what product to use and when? I see all types of fert and weed control and it becomes a little overwhelming with the different types and what they all mean. I want to stay away from “Sunday” type products.
I have different grass in front and back and pictures will show general current shape of the grass. First 3 are front and last 3 are back. There is a mix in the back, recently had work done and had to seed, so areas were tall fescue that was planted.
For me it’s about learning as I go but an easy guide on where to start helps a lot.
Also we started with a landscaper this season so a round of whatever they put down already went down. So this year I’d be starting with whatever second round would be.
Thank you all, I’m looking forward to getting dirty and starting to really learn about all this.
