February 6, 2019 - We looked at case studies, both independent and self-reported, pulled the KPIs that are most often report (impressions, brand lift, brand recognition and purchase consideration) and compared them, and then measured Super Bowl advertising against all sorts of other tactics and came to the conclusion that, well, it ain't worth it. ... These ads have a $50+ CPM, which is more than double the cost of popular tv spots and 25 times the cost of YouTube ads, where, btw, they get much of their brand lift. The actual return on investment is unreliable at best with no connection between the ad unit itself and the outcome.
