Imo the best way to be eco friendly with phone cases is to get one that will last the longest and protect your phone the longest. While materials matter, and where you buy(thrift vs new) matters, it would be a lot less ecofriendly to have to get another phone and case if it didn't do it's job. More on reddit.com

I got them and have found the quality quite poor. Would not recommend. To me low quality products aren’t sustainable even if the case is ultimately compostable, as you have to replace it more often which uses more energy, likely generates more manufacturing waste, and requires more energy for shipping. Hi all! I have been looking for a eco-friendly case for my phone. Most products I looked up were not really promising. Anyone can share a good product they would recommend for phone cases and maybe also for my AirPods? I don’t like the plastic stuff out there! If possible EU 😁 Appreciate any advise!

Lots of people suggested pela cases, I am really sorry to tell you that their products are made from flaxstic, which is composed of 35% bioplastic, 10% flax and the remaining 55% are regular petroleum based plastics. They do not compost, as demonstrated by multiple people burying them in their backyard, the woods and composts and nothing happening, even after 6 months. Plastics that have to be durable and deformable are simply not home compostable at the moment.
