I pushed a couple of the cooling throw blankets late summer. After I washed one, I got impatient and instead used low tumble dry heat, instead of air only. It's pilled slightly, but not in a way my partner notices. But I do, and can feel it catch on my nails or dry skin.

I really love this blanket. Tried finding a larger one for the bedroom, but couldn't find the same brand. What I tried from Amazon was from Ailemei. Its "warmer" side was still cooling, and not like a t shirt material the Costco blanket has. And it pilled a lot more, and sooner (even before a wash).

I DO see it on Amazon, but from a random seller, charging $48 for it. Don't want to chance getting a used or off product, for more than double the cost

There are a bunch on ebay. Some cheaper than that Amazon price.
Also, have you ever heard of a fabric shaver? It removes pilling pretty well. You may want to look into that. They are cheap.
