Can I force the desktop site for all sites on iOS?
Absolutely! iOS allows users to request the desktop version of any site on Safari.
If I play a video in a new window, it reverts to the mobile site. What can I do?
One common issue with the desktop version of websites on a mobile device is that they're designed to run the mobile version. The mobile version is displayed whenever you open a new web page. Fortunately, you only need to click on the desktop option in the browser's settings for each new tab you open.
How do I return to the mobile site from the desktop version on my phone?
If you need to view the mobile version of YouTube, you can. Tap on the menu icon as we did above and uncheck the desktop option. Most browsers display the mobile version of websites. Either way, your page should automatically refresh, showing you the mobile version again.
So recently YouTube 17.34.35 had ended support and the switch to youtube.com screen is there on the app and ima tell you all on how to remove it temporarily (meaning if you close the app and restart it it'll appear again).
Moved to a Galaxy S21 after using iOS for almost a decade. I use Brave as my default browser because it has built-in youtube ad blocking. But whenever I click a youtube link in google, it opens in the youtube app, which I refuse to use bc of the incessant ads.
I've read some posts and watched some videos. They all pretty unanimously advise to go into apps, click youtube -> defualt -> de-select Open Supported Links. I have done so, force-killed youtube app, cleared my browser and memory cache and restarted the phone, but youtube google links still open in the app.
Am I missing something? Android 13/OneUI5
What I mean is: I started "watching in browser" but then changed my mind and now want to open the video in the app instead. How do I switch, without separately using the app to search for the same video and find my place?
