Just recently switched to the $50 unlimited promo prepaid T-Mobile plan ported my number in. Tried to create account on T-Mobile iOS app, got error of “null” user. Tried to login on laptop I got a message that I needed to change my email because I had “skipped pin code verification”. I never was asked for or received any pin and I never received anything via text or email.
I was also getting this error sometimes: “You are not authorized to access this account. If you are the account owner, please dial 611 from your T-Mobile phone or 1-877-778-2106 from a non T-Mobile phone.“
Lady on the phone told me not to register through the app and to delete it, that it wouldn’t work right there’s a bug and/or issue with prepaid users to register on a laptop. They reset my account after 48hrs and I was ready to register again. I re-registered and am still getting the “You are not authorized” error again.
They are supposedly now wiping my email login again in 24-48hrs so I can try to register again. Any tips?
Also Wi-Fi calling won't turn on in any way shape or form for some reason as well (iPhone X).
Many online resources say that a T-Mobile prepaid account number is 1 plus your 10 digit number, including some of T-Mobile’s own forum posts. It’s actually a different number and I had to call in to get it.
If you’re porting out, you’ll very likely have to call in to get that number unless there is some other way to discover it.
I think this is great but it would’ve been great to know before hand.
