Just purchased my first ever standing desk, the frame of an E7 Plus. Now, I need to find a reasonably priced table top. I was hoping for pure wood, but these seem to be comparatively expensive in Vancouver, BC... Ideally, with a surface area of 30-34 inches in depth by 50-60 inches in width and at least 0.5 inches in height.
Does anybody know where to buy reasonably priced butcher blocks in the Greater Vancouver Area?
Hey guys, I'm having a hard time finding a table top for a new desk. Was thinking of buy these legs from ikea (https://www.ikea.com/ca/en/p/idasen-underframe-for-table-top-beige-00360988/), and was looking to buy a table top for it but want to buy from ikea only when there are no other options. Anyone got some recommendations? Most companies only seem to sell their desks with the legs alone or the kit with legs and table top.
Hello Canadian folks,
I'm planning to buy a Progressive Desk, but I'm reading that their table top is expensive for 60"x30"MDF ($372CAD). I have heard of sourcing from Ikea, but cheap material and not sure of warping over time. I have tried to search for local carpenter...and frankly neither me nor my spouse knows anything about locating a good carpenter. We are have minimal woodworking knowledge.
My ask:
-
sourcing a table top: I'm wondering if anyone has other places they recommend I can source a better table top in Canada for the same or less than $372CAD?
-
BC carpenter: if you have a recommendation for a BC carpenter that can make me a table top, please feel free to let me know.
Thank you
Recently got this on sale:

And I'd like to get a large table top either made from wood or some sort of plastic type material, doesn't make me much difference.
Where would I find some good options online?
Thanks!
