Buying a new home? I don't recommend Tamarack
Tamarack Townhome questions
Do not get eavestroughs through the builder. They will be half that after the fact. Same with ac.
Don't get curtains from them either... man you can just take measurements and get them yourself.
Look at things like floors, upgrade hardwood, carpets, underpad, etc... or spend extra for a nicer kitchen. Aim at stuff that would be really challenging to get done after.

Like all of the large tract housing developers, they build fast and cheap, and push every other limit they can quite aggressively.
They have deeper pockets and a higher tolerance for conflict than does the average home buyer. If you are willing to risk doing business for large amounts of money on an uneven playing field with companies generally oblivious to your well-being, then Tamarack is probably similar to other developers.
You would probably be better-off with a custom home builder, however, building on a lot away from suburban development.
The other option is to locate a home in a suburban development that is about 5 yrs old, and therefore provides some assurances about what you are actually getting. You have much better control of the process, and the risks are far lower.
This website has links to reports about builder performance, and most of the new home communities.

I don’t, but in my professional opinion (not professional) I would say half of what they go for now.
More on reddit.comGreetings fellow Redditors,
I spent some time to write up a detailed post, photos included on my Facebook to reveal the special circumstances in which I have come across with my builder and my new home, from TamarackHomes.
In short, my basement was flooded on July 27th, the company sent false support by conducting "water tests" and "assessed" the damage and then left me hanging for the next 2 months. Today, Day 64 and word finally got through to Tamarack, they finally gutted my basement and revealed the behemoth that has been growing beneath my carpet's insulation, on the ground.
As soon as the carpet came up, I took an invisible kick to the face.
Basically, for $380,000, don't expect any support from Tamarack when shit hits the ceiling. They'll just blow it off until the shit dries and starts to fall back down on them piece by piece. :)
And on a side note, not relevant to the post. I opened a Tires and Wheels Shop. In case you can't find a place to get tires changed, I may be able to help. :D PM me for more info. :D
