I was almost swayed by the casaluna line, but the price and quality for casaluna just wasn't right. The linen from Casaluna is a cotton/linen blend - so if you're looking to invest in linen you should just splurge and get something 100% linen. The linen definitely looks cool and feels pretty good, but I'm not convinced on quality for the price they're asking. I almost bought the percale sheets from them...but talked myself out of it cause for just a few extra dollars I could have got something much nicer from west elm/Brooklinen/etc.

I ended up buying a linen duvet and percale sheets from west elm and LOVE them. The best linen i've tried (I've been searching for a while) and the sheets feel like a dream...so nice I can't believe I almost bought target sheets over a $30 difference.

I can attest to almost all of your concerns. I have been using an entire Casaluna bed set for about 8 months now, in swampy SE Texas. I bought my set after finding out that my favorite bed set at my aunt's home, which I had been using for years, was Casaluna. I wash everything, (Comforter, top and bottom sheet, quilt), about every 3 weeks with no signs of wear. The sheets are incredibly cool. I previously invested in a BedJet because I was such a hot sleeper, but now I rarely find myself using it. I also have a cat who moderately sheds, but it is not too visible on the bedding, although I don't let her under the covers, only on top of the comforter. The entire set (Comforter, top and bottom sheets, quilt, two large back pillows, and two medium front pillows) was around $400 USD. Before settling on Casaluna, I had looked into all of the recommended sets on this subreddit, which give less bedding for around the same price. TLDR: Great quality, holds up well, worth the buy. I have a lovely Casaluna linen comforter from Target. I think it was $140 for the Queen comforter and 2 shams, but it was a clearance-priced online-only return, so I picked it up for $33. Major score, but honestly $140 for the quality is not bad at all. It’s a very soft, pale gray color, and the linen feels quite luxurious. I have several other Casaluna bed linens and towels, and I’ve yet to be disappointed with any of them. I think it’s a decent price point for the quality, especially if you wait for a sale or get a great deal like I did. I still can’t believe that price. More on reddit.com
