It seems that a lot of sets these days won't include a comforter. Sometimes, a duvet cover is available with the set. Then you can use the duvet cover only if you are a hot sleeper. But you will need to get a duvet insert if you want the "comforter" feel. Comforters are getting hard to find because the norms have changed in the last few years. I've been window shopping for sheets a long time. Right now, I have a nice percale set and use a cotton bedspread as I'm sort of over comforters. There is no reason to get whatever you want as a cover in the same brand of your sheets. So, you can get the Target brand (I've heard good things about), then any comforter or other cover you want. Just Google "comforters" and find the material and style you want. They are still available, but duvets seem to be more popular and offer more variety. For instance, I think that I will buy a linen flat sheet as a cover for my percale sheet set.
