According to federal law, there must be a minimum of 21 days between the statement and due date. If your information is correct, then there would not even be 21 days since you've had the card, so it would not be due yet. The CARD Act also states that the due date must be the same date each month. So your balance is most likely going to be due on September 16 which means you should see a statement generated around August 26. More on reddit.com

July 9, 2024Target Credit Card available credit issues?
Chiming in super late on this post cause I found it through google, but good lord it’s driving me insane. They did it to me last month, and I had to call and patch in my bank to prove that I made my payment. Just made my payment again a little early because my credit limit is only 500 bucks and I have to use the circle card to get my employee discount at Target, but the same thing has happened and I’m probably going to have to go through another annoying phone call. It’s honestly criminal that they can take the money from my account for the payment but not update my credit. If you took my money, I should be able to use my card, simple as that. Absolutely infuriating. OP have you figured out anything? I’m losing 15% discount on all my purchases until Target gets its shit together. More on reddit.com

Just wondering if anyone has had trouble with Target Circle card taking a payment and then not adding it to the available credit? I have went through the transactions listed over and over again and I keep getting that my payment wasn't added.

Update for everyone: After waiting 30 min in queue, I spoke to a Target rep today. I pushed and argued with the agent until I got the truth… Target corp got a new internal system and is having problems with it. And if you pay your balance, the credit will not become available for 2-3 weeks. Target is not telling cardholders this. I dragged it out of her. Said agent kept trying to put the blame on my bank and said they needed me to call my bank to verify info (I was like what info and why? You already took my money and the balance shows $0). I knew my bank wasn’t the issue. None of the agent’s facts were lining up and she was contradicting her story in an attempt to hide what’s really going on. TARGET EXECS HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY TO NOTIFY CARDHOLDERS AND OWN THIS CRISIS. A public statement needs to be issued!!

I was recently approved for the Target Credit Card on 8/2. As of today, my balance is $235.81 with a minimum payment due of $30. However, my payment due date states that it is 8/16 but there is no card statement available. Can someone please explain how this works?

You need to pay the statement balance in full by the due date. As you only opened the card 8/2, a statement balance likely hasn’t been generated yet, though I do wonder about that minimum payment amount without the statement… I would call Target on that. Usually the min due isn’t generated until the statement is. Also, 8/16 is too soon for a card opened on 8/2. I don’t think they can legally do that due to the CARD act. More then likely, your due date should be 9/16. Call Target.
