Just curious, Ive been a member of this community for a couple years now and just about every job scam has been for data entry, not looking for a job but just wondering if anyones actually gotten a "data entry" position that wasnt a scam

Government has a lot of data entry jobs (I know because they mess up my stuff) But it's not data entry like just copy and pasting, or typing out written forms, it's being given a shoebox of information and then sifting through, verifying it and then filling out a form. Like being given a year of receipts and then being asked how much was spent on materials, how much was spent on x specific material etc. And it can't be done by AI because there is subjective stuff and you need someone screening for fraud

Data entry is part of other titles. I think people make that mistake a lot. You need to look for title like Administrative Associate or Assistant. Read the description and see if it then says things that would be data entry like “entering blank into blank software” If you’re looking for straight data entry jobs it’s most likely a scam. My job title is Contract Analyst, I work on a legal team and 80% of my job is data entry lol
