I recently returned some items and received store credit for them (white merchandise return cards). It is written on the back of the cards that they can only be used to purchase items IN STORE.
However, the item I want to buy is only available ONLINE. Can I order the item I want online, return it in store (refund to my credit card), then buy it again using my store credit?

Unfortunately no. If it was put onto a store merchandise card, I would assume it was a receipt less return? Doing so only allows for the white cards and can only be used in store as they do not want you to go and buy elsewhere or have the chance to sell it. I say just trade it with friends for cash. live and learn

Hi! I recently returned something that I lost the receipt for and was given a merchandise return card. Can I use it at any target or just the target that I returned the item to? I only ask because I'm trying to get Super Smash Bros Ultimate next week and the target that I returned the item to is getting it two days later. Additionally, if the answer is the latter would I be able to buy nintendo e-shop cards with the balance on the card?
