The typical standard at Target for breaks goes as so: 4 hours or more: one 15 6 hours or more: one 15 + one 30-minute meal 7 hours or more: two 15s + one meal 15s are paid, so you stay on the clock for those. You’re also supposed to stay on-site (at least that’s what I was told at my store). The meals must be off-the-clock, and you have to stay clocked in at least half an hour after returning from it. You also have to clock out for it before you hit your 6th hour (5 in some states or if you are a minor). Even going a few seconds over can get you in trouble. I think that covers it. Hope that helps. Edit: oh— and standard hours for part-timers varies. I’m in GM part-time and get between 20-30 hours a week. Some people get like 12, and some get maybe 8. It really depends on a lot of factors, like payroll and which department you are in (some get cuts worse than others). More on reddit.com
