I am extremely impressed by Taron Egerton too. I can tell he is literally feeling everything that I feel while listening to Larry. In the first episode, as an audience member you would just start almost feeling sorry for Larry or even liking him just a teeny tiny bit… and then you blindsided by a comment that reminds you this dude is a horrendous and disgusting serial killer and rapist. The same thing plays in Jimmy’s face’!! Amazing. Then on Jimmy you would see the wheels turning … “how can I best use my personality to get Larry to trust me and confess??”. Then these last two episodes… Another level!!! Episode five especially with that little forced smile Taron/Jimmy used to get Larry to keep talking, but the eyes that didn’t match, then the disgust that would flash across his face for a split second, before he recovered to keep up his buddy charade. The absolute heartbroken look in his eyes when Larry said the part about the girl calling for “Mommy”… the sobbing at the end? Getting to this point from the cocky guy strutting into the prison yard to the song “battle flag” back in episode three? WOW. I’m so effected by this show— the writing the direction the music the set and scenery the art design the storytelling techniques and most of all— the acting. Insanely good show. More on reddit.com
