TCM Academy is pretty good. Outdated isn't a bad thing because you're still learning and understanding how attacks are done. If you don't want to pay for it, Heath has a 10 video play list covering his courses . You won't get the CPEs for it, but still a lot of info to learn. If you're new to it all, I highly recommend it. If you're someone who has been in the weeds for a long time and already done with things like the OSCP or higher, its probably not needed. More on reddit.com

I came across the TCM Security pen test course in r/PenTest and was wondering if it's still good. I googled it and found a post saying that it's outdated. Does anyone know if that's true? Should I get it or should I stick with Udemy courses? I have one on Udemy but it doesn't go as deep as I want and some attacks are outdated(like eternal blue). If it's not something I should invest in, what's a good, inexpensive alternative?

TCM Academy constantly updates their course materials. I have completed several of their courses and go back every few months to watch the updates. Their practical ethical hacking course is extensive and covers many topics from basic networking, osint, basic python, web app attacks, active directory, privilege escalation to report writing in enough details to give a complete newbie a starting point for further learning. Then you can go after some of the more advanced classes that go much deeper on each of these topics.
