Yes, but as you found this is setup when the account is created. I'd suggest following the instructions for forgotten credentials, and if that doesn't work call them When you opened the Chase First Banking account, you created a username and password for your child. If you need to reset your child's username and password, use the Chase Mobile app and click "Forgot username/password?" under the sign-in, next click "Don't know your username?" then click "Don't have a Social Security number?" and input your child's date of birth along with the Chase First Banking account number. Once we confirm the information entered is correct, follow the instructions on the screen to reset their password. https://personal.chase.com/personal/first-banking/faq Answer from sangreal06 on reddit.com

r/Chase on Reddit: Can my kid have his own distinct login for Chase First Banking kids' debit card
July 18, 2025 -

I have a Chase First Banking checking account tied to a debit card for each of my three children. Can my oldest (14) have his own unique login on the Chase app on his phone, to be able to see the balance on his card. I don't want to login using my credentials on his phone, because then he would be able to transfer money as if he were the parent. When I google this question, the answer I get seems to be only as if I am setting up a checking account for the first time. I already have the account, and I just want him to have visual access, so he's not constantly pestering me, "do I have money on my card????"

r/personalfinance on Reddit: Debit Cards for Teens
February 2, 2024 -

Hey gang, not sure if this is the best sub for this topic but I'm looking for an alternative option to my current set up with Chase. I have a Chase Premiere Checking account, and two kids checking accounts for my teens. My kids can access their individual accounts via Chase app on their phones, I can easily transfer money to/from those accounts, and they each have a debit card for their purchases.

Since I keep a balance below $15K in that main checking account, I gotta pay a $25/mo fee, which seems obscene to me. I don't want $15k of my liquid sitting in that account collecting minimal interest, so I'm looking to move elsewhere.

I know Venmo has teen accounts, Greenlight Financial I keep hearing about as well. I'll be looking into those. Having a physical debit card is not a deal breaker, but I do feel better knowing they having something on them in case their phone dies or gets lost.

Would love to hear what you guys use for your teens! I'm particularly looking for something that doesn't cost much to use while keeping a fairly low balance, and something app friendly and allows for easy transfers.

r/Chase on Reddit: Using Chase First Banking Debit Card as "Credit"
April 22, 2024 -

Hi, I just signed up my child for this and was wondering since it has a Visa logo on it, can the debit card be swiped as "credit" when paying at a physical store (or even when using it to make a purchase online)? And if it can be run through as a credit card, does it still ask for the PIN?

I know for normal debit cards, if you run through as credit, they typically have you sign instead of entering the PIN, but not sure if this is an option in the case of a minor.

I understand that the account must have enough funds to cover the transaction amount. I'm just running scenarios in case my kid forgets the PIN in an emergency or if for some crazy reason a store only takes the "credit card" option as a tender. Appreciate anyone who has experience with this. Thanks! :)
