r/arduino on Reddit: Teensy 3.2 in a $100 mystery box
July 13, 2024 -
This old electrician from FB had tons of awesome stuff, like 5 raspberry pi’s including a pi 4, wires breadboards a UNO, and more…but I found this and googled it. Wow. Wonder why he had the heatsink? Might need to re-solder some pins.
What should I do with it??

i mean, other than selling things for more than they're worth, from a profit perspective, what else would be the point of a mystery box?

You can do all kinds of heavy lifting and things more memory intensive that you can't do on an Arduino like an Uno/Nano. It's not as fast as an ESP32 but at 72MHz it's quite a bit faster then average and it does have some nice features that pair well when you need them like the extra silicon UART's, pins, ADC's Specifications of Teensy 3.2: Microcontroller: MK20DX256VLH7, based on ARM Cortex-M4 core Clock Speed: 72 MHz (overclockable to 96 MHz) Flash Memory: 256 KB RAM: 64 KB Digital I/O Pins: 34 Analog Input Pins: 21 (shared with digital I/O pins) PWM Outputs: 12 UARTs: 3 SPI Ports: 1 I2C Ports: 1 Analog Output: PWM-based Operating Voltage: 3.3V

Maxing-out a Teensy 3.2 for a USB Midi Controller - adafruit industries
July 10, 2022 - Note, due to chip shortages, the Teensy 3.2, 3.5, and 3.6 are impossible to find. I would suggest unless you need the 3.2 due to an existing design, to move up to the Teensy 4.0 and 4.1. While there are periods when the 4.0 and/or 4.1 are hard to find, the long term outlook for the chip is much better.
