Phone Headsets for NEC land line with RJ9 plug - ALDs and Other Hearing Technologies - Hearpeers Forum
Hey all. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions for a landline to be a wireless headset?
What I want...a landline phone that can use a bluetooth headset - Hardware & Infrastructure - Spiceworks Community
Will this headset protect my hearing?
Yes. The Wantek A600 features an acoustic shock protection circuit that prevents sudden loud noise surges from damaging your hearing or the headset electronics. This is especially important in call centers where unexpected audio levels can spike suddenly.
Can I use this headset with Bluetooth devices or my smartphone?
No. The Wantek A600 is designed exclusively for landline phones with RJ9 headset jacks. It does not work with smartphones, computers, or Bluetooth devices. For multi-device connectivity, consider a wireless DECT headset instead.
Is this headset comfortable for long hours?
Absolutely. The Wantek A600 is engineered for all-day wearing with:
- Ultra-lightweight design (under 0.5 pounds)
- Adjustable headband fitting all head sizes
- Premium soft leatherette ear cushions with memory foam
- 90-degree rotating earpieces for either ear
Many users report feeling comfortable even after 8-10 hour shifts.

I work from home and have been using the Voyager 5200 Bluetooth headset with my cellphone. However the call quality on my cell phone is unreliable. I also have a 2 line landline office phone from Poly that has a 2.5mm jack. It has an on the ear headset that has a tube that picks up sound. Problem is that it also picks up my desk fan (which the Voyager does not). I bought a cheaper headset on Amazon that had a foam piece over the mic. It was worse than the tube headset. Can someone recommend a headset that would work for my situation? I also tried an 'Office' Bluetooth gizmo from Poly that plugged into the jack but I couldn't get it to connect to my cell phone. Thanks.
Any ideas would be great. So I have a landline phone. Requires phone Jack. But I’m curious if anyone found a way to make it witless? Ty
