Help me decide between Tempur-Ergo Smart Base and the Tempur-Ergo ProSmart Base.
So ... As far as bases go, imo these are the best however. Are you going to be using the soundscape? If not, don't bother. The sonic massaging is really nice, the two zone vibration is just motors on the ergo smart but the sonic version on the pro-smart is a clear step up. Not a big fan of the vibration normally. I mean the speakers are ok, they do the job. Do be aware that when you hook it up and it yells "Bluetooth mode" you cannot turn that off lol The app features are really good with the sleep coach, monitors for heart rate, sleeping patterns, your breathing, even room humidty. It's pretty indepth. You also get automatic snore response, the wake up alarm which is neat. Under bed lighting and USB? Standard garbage that should go away. They're useless imo. Never once have i plugged something into my base lol. The biggest downside to the pro-smart is - it isn't password enabled. Neighbors can connect to it if theyre in range and use it, so do be aware. I like the PS but honestly, if you're not a fan of the soundscape for for the ES. More on reddit.com

March 1, 2024Adjustable bases for Tempur-Pedic: is it worth it to get a Tempur-Pedic base too, or should I look at other base brands?
At my firm....get it.....we have to sell their base with a Temp. But it is an Ergo base so its just Tempur Sealy swinging their big dick around keeping us in our place. But the best base for it is what I have......a Mantua Contemporary III. The lumbar portion is amazing and this feature is not on any of the Ergo bases. Plus it has a bunch of different color lights for the under the bed lighting (there so you can keep your room pitch black except for the constant under the bed light....no bright light flipped when you sleep walk to the bathroom to wake you up). I would just head into a place that carries them, but you may have to ask for the "900" base as it is called in our favorite money laundering company. If the lumbar doesn't do anything then just buy any decent base from Ergo, Reverie, Leggett and Platt or Mantua. Head and foot, a few memory settings, etc. Tell the Temp store you have a captains bed. Then buy the base separately. Warranty will be fine. More on reddit.com

Hey all. Exactly what the title suggests: I definitely want to go with a Tempur base, but I’m having difficulty deciding between the afore mentioned bases. Anyone with experience on both that is able to offer an opinion? Wondering if the Waveform is really that different than the two-zone massage offered on the less expensive model. Additionally - the SoundScape mode sounds cool, but I’ve seen mixed reviews on the quality of the actual speakers attached to the frame. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

What do you plan to play on the speakers? Personally, I like them but for me it’s more to play soothing sounds or meditational stuff. Playing podcasts and death metal weren’t ideal for me on it. 😂
