I use the Saatva graphite cooling memory foam topper on top of a tempur pedic and its amazing. Pricey, but in my mind, worth every penny--I feel like i'm floating. More on reddit.com

February 26, 2024Has anyone gotten the tempurpedic mattress topper?
Don’t do it! Tempura-Pedic used to have a great product I would have sung their praises to anyone. Their toppers used to be made of 5.7lb density foam. Over the years they reduced to 3.5 (2018 ish). You’ll see a rash of reviews from that time with people complaining. And then again in summer 2021 they reduced to 2.7lb foam which is basically useless. They won't admit to it or even tell you their density because it's “proprietary” but I was ticked enough I tracked down old products on eBay that were still new in the box and had the people selling them weigh them for me. That’s how we figured out the years of the changes and the actual densities. Our old topper was 50lbs without the box. Our new topper we just ordered was barely 30lbs IN the box. I just got it off Amazon because it normally goes for $469 (LOL) and was marked down to $275 which is still insane. Clearly paying for the brand here. It says it's a 3 inch topper and it's actually 2.5 inch. The topper has almost no pressure relief. If you squeeze the topper with your fingers even with minimal pressure you can easily get your fingers to touch. In fact it's so easily compressible it was a cinch to get back in the box. It's advertised as a cooling topper but it's only cool at first and quickly heats up. Fortunately Amazon allows returns. If you get this from Tempur directly there are no returns.

I bought the same but from Walmart and tonight was the 1st night I slept on it. I agree it definitely heats up and my back hurt a little wondering if I should give it 2 more nights to see how I feel I have a firm mattress. Wonder if walmart will even accept the return.

We purchased a medium Tempur pedic about 2 years ago from Mattress Firm. My wife has back issues from an accident several years ago so we decided to spend money on a good mattress. The sales rep guided us to the Medium Tempur LuxBreeze mattress which would be perfect.
Long story short this mattress never got soft after the last 2 years and is making her back even worst. What a waste of $5k. Should have bought a mattress from Amazon for under $500.
Anyway, Now we are trying to find a mattress topper that will be softer and good reviews. Does anyone have suggestions?

Wool mattress topper. I have tried dozens of toppers. Honestly the Wooly Mattress Topper from Woolroom is amazing. It’s a little pricey but worth every penny. We have them in all four bedrooms now lol
